Out of a Virginia estate, and his clothes seem to be those of a Southerner. Comes in its original 1850s union case. The case is in overall very good antique condition, with one small corner chip. I scanned the side with the chip; the other side has the same design with no chip :) The ambrotype is behind mat and glass. There are some spots and a small abrasion
